In 1966, Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass had four albums in the Top 10 - and five in the Top 20.
Grammy Award-winning vocalist and producer Lani Hall started her career in 1966 as the lead singer of Sergio Mendes’ breakthrough group, Brasil ‘66. That year A&M Records signed the group and Lani met her future husband Alpert, who is also the co-founder of A&M. Married to Herb since 1973, Lani co-produced “Steppin’ Out” and has recorded 22 albums in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
