Julie Andrews, Christopher Plummer, and Eleanor Parker star in Director Robert Wise’s 1965 film production of the Rodgers and Hammerstein’s classic musical 'The Sound of Music.’

A young novice is sent by her convent in 1930s Austria to become a governess to the seven children of a widowed naval officer.

The Sound of Music won five Academy Awards in 1966 including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Sound, Best Film Editing, and Best Music, Scoring of Music, Adaptation or Treatment. Julie Andrews was nominated in the 'Best Actress in a Leading Role’ category.

Come out and celebrate the 60th anniversary of The Sound of Music on the Admiral Theatre’s 50 foot big screen with concert sound! Attendees are encouraged to wear costumes and sing your heart out to all of your favorite classic songs from The Sound of Music.

Bremerton's Admiral Theatre proudly presents the 1959 Academy Award-winning classic film Ben-Hur starring Charlton Heston. Ben-Hur won 11 Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Cinematography, and Best Special Effects. A Jewish prince living in Judea with his family during the time that Jesus Christ was becoming known for his "radical" teachings is betrayed by his Roman friend and sold into slavery. Years later, he gains his freedom and sets his sights on revenge.

Bremerton's Admiral Theatre and NAACP Bremerton Branch - Unit 1134 are proud to present Ava DuVernay's Academy Award-winning 2014 film Selma for Black History Month. Starring David Oyelowo, Carmen Ejogo, Tom Wilkinson, Cuba Gooding Jr., and Alessandro Nivola. The marches from Selma, Ala., to Montgomery to secure voting rights for black Americans are depicted in this docudrama set during the U.S. Civil Rights Movement, and which focuses on the actions of Martin Luther King Jr.

Bremerton's Admiral Theatre is proud to present Steven Spielberg's Sci-Fi classic Close Encounters of the Third Kind on our 50 foot screen with concert sound! Starring Academy Award winners Richard Dreyfuss and Francois Truffaut, and Oscar-nominated actress Teri Garr in a film widely regarded as one of the best of all time. The movie received eight Academy Award nominations and two wins including Vilmos Zsigmond for Cinematography, and Frank W. Warner won a Special Achievement Award for sound effects editing.

Roy Neary, an Indiana electric lineman, finds his quiet and ordinary daily life turned upside down after a close encounter with a UFO, spurring him to an obsessed cross-country quest for answers as a momentous event approaches.
